“Hi, I'm Tanushree Oriana — but honestly, most people just call me Tanu.”
I grew up in the heart of West Bengal, steeped in the literary and visual traditions of Satyajit Ray, Rabindranath Tagore, and Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay. From an early age, I was fascinated by how a single photograph or fleeting cinematic frame could hold the weight of an entire human life.
My career did not follow a conventional linear path. It was an organic quest across mediums. When you understand how to observe people with genuine empathy, the medium becomes a conscious choice: a 35mm commercial film for mass emotion, a quiet monochrome diptych for introspection, an architectural site documentary for structural integrity, or an intuitive mobile interface to restore mutual trust.
Today, I operate at the intersection of creative direction, moving image, spatial curation, and digital product thinking.
MY JOURNEY
JOURNALISM
Starting with words, conducting interviews, and listening to raw human stories. It taught me how to dig beneath polished answers and seek authentic truth.
COMMUNICATIONS
Translating complex narratives into clear, strategic dialogues that build bridges between brands and their audiences.

Exploring cross-disciplinary ideas, merging aesthetics with strategy to build cohesive visual and conceptual languages.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Mentorship and diploma training at the Raghu Rai Center for Photography. Learning the patient art of seeing—waiting for light, shadow, and vulnerability to align in reverence.

Sculpting time and emotion, commanding complex production floors, and finding soul within technical precision.
UX/UI
Designing end-to-end digital products, design systems, and mobile interfaces — from smart wearable companion apps to creative fintech platforms.
