Bangla Ta Bhule Jeo Na
একুশ এক ভালোবাসার নাম
“একুশ এক ভালোবাসার নাম — A deeply emotional visual letter across time and distance, holding onto our mother tongue, childhood memories, and cultural roots.”
The Language That Holds My Tears
Living away from home, speaking in corporate English all day, I noticed how slowly our mother tongue begins to slip into the shadows. But Bengali isn’t just a language for me; it is the lullaby my grandmother sang during summer power cuts, the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore during heartbreak, and the sacred soil of our ancestors who gave their lives in 1952 just to speak their own tongue.
A Letter to the Next Generation
This visual open letter was written with tears in my eyes for every diaspora child living across oceans. When Bengali diaspora families in Canada, the UK, and Germany sent me messages saying their children watched the film and asked to learn their mother tongue, my heart swelled with gratitude. Language is the string that ties our soul to where we belong.
Shared widely across international Bengali diaspora networks, inspiring families to reconnect with their roots.
